Spring Cleaning Your Brand: Tips & Tricks for Wedding and Wellness Businesses

by | Feb 28, 2025

Branding is not static, at least not when it comes to successful brands. Good branding connects your brand to your ideal client, but this connection won’t happen if your branding is out of date – is it time to spring clean your brand?

What might have been a great brand strategy when you started out may now be tired and no longer properly represent the business, or the wants and needs of your ideal customers. But there is no need to panic if you think your branding might have gotten a bit stale over the years. The biggest brands in the world rebrand and switch things up all the time, this is how they stay relevant.

Think of it like spring cleaning. You get rid of stuff from last year that isn’t useful anymore and replace it with newer and more useful stuff. So what’s the best way to go about spring cleaning your brand?

The brand refresh – branding tips & tricks for wedding & wellness businesses

Ideally you want your branding to represent where your business is now. Your branding might have been perfect for where you were in your wedding or wellness business at the time that you made it. However, chances are that your business is not exactly the same as it was then. If your branding is now out-dated you could be deterring your ideal clients from even looking at your products or services that you offer in the first place. You might have nailed your business plan and have a product or service that is exactly what your ideal client needs. But none of this matters if your branding is turning them off.

I know the thought of doing an entire rebrand is probably overwhelming, but don’t panic because if you’ve been running your business for a while it probably just needs a brand refresh. Even minor brand refreshes can make a big difference and attract new and former clients. To give your brand a refresh you want to make changes that are significant and easily noticeable, but not fundamentally different from what it looked like before.

Another way to think about it is that you’re helping your business to adapt to the contemporary market and trends by not compromising your core values and staying true to the original brand feeling. It’s a balancing act and it’s not always easy to do but it will benefit your brand in the long run.

8 small but important changes to revive your wedding or wellness business branding

Here are 8 things you can do to refresh your brand if you don’t have budget for a full rebrand:

  1. Make a new version of your logo – you don’t need to completely redesign it, just think about how you could modernise it and make it visually appealing in a similar way to your ideal clients favourite brands.
  2. Review your customer journey – look at your email sequences, proposals, service packs, website copy etc. Make sure these are all still consistent with the feeling you’re trying to capture with your branding.
  3. Create a lead magnet – if you don’t have one you should consider designing one and adding it to your website. Creating a lead magnet can be done for free or very little cost and it’s a great way to get people on your mailing list and your brand on people’s minds.
  4. Do a content audit – ensure there aren’t any inconsistencies between the type of person your brand is trying to attract and the content you are putting out. This will help new clients to get to know, like and trust you faster.
  5. Add an icon to your branding – adding a simple and easily recognisable icon to your logo/brand can help you to stand out and will contribute to overall brand consistency across all platforms.
  6. Switch up your post templates – the way you used to post might not be optimal anymore. Attention spans are only getting shorter so nowadays even just your Instagram grid needs to match your brand aesthetic and convery your brand feeling. If it doesn’t people won’t even bother to click on the posts to read the captions!
  7. Update your imagery – when was your last business photo shoot? If it was a long time ago you probably need to update your imagery. Especially if you are the face of your brand! Your ideal customers want to get to know you and so your brand imagery should be up to date and authentic. It doesn’t need to be a professional operation, a mini brand shoot with your phone can breathe fresh air back into your wedding or wellness business.
  8. Acquire and use testimonials – testimonials have huge selling power so reaching out to former clients is a great way to bolster your branding. Having recent testimonials to post on your social media accounts makes you look trustworthy and tuned in to your ideal customers wants and needs.

Embracing AI automation and making it work for you

AI automation and machine learning have been on the scene for a while now but only in the last few years have they really come into the mainstream. Big businesses use AI automation to save huge amounts of time and money. AI can be used to automate things like customer support, internal processes, sales and business forecasting, security and surveillance.

Now the power of AI automation is accessible to almost all businesses. AI tools are getting better all the time and many are now free to use. As a small business owner you’d be wise to stay up to date with AI and look out for opportunities to use it to your advantage in 2025. Anyone can sign up and use ChatGPT to generate ideas for products, content, marketing plans, etc. but then always make sure it is tweaked to reflect your own brand voice.

Sustainable business practices

Research shows that people are now more willing than ever to spend more on goods and services from brands with sustainable business practices. Brands like Patagonia have brought the idea of conscious consumerism to the forefront and made sustainability desirable. According to recent studies 90% of Gen X consumers are ok with spending an extra 10% or more for sustainable products, compared to 34% two years ago. This massive increase in demand for sustainable goods and services is a trend that small businesses need to pay attention to.

Here’s to a trendy 2025!

I wish you good luck with your business endeavours for the rest of 2025 and I hope you gained some useful insight into brand trends that will be important for small businesses for the rest of this year. Remember that you don’t have to jump on every trend that comes along. Sometimes that big thing that you see people getting so much exposure from just won’t be on brand for you and that’s ok. Consistency and authenticity will keep your customers engaged for the long term.
